Since graduating from the University of Glasgow in 2007, Alan has gained particular expertise in dental implants and restorative dentistry, as well as retaining his commitment to overall patient comfort and satisfaction.
Alan believes in fostering a warm and welcoming environment for all his patients. He is passionate about patient education, ensuring that each individual understands the importance of oral hygiene and regular dental check-ups. Alan takes great pride in restoring peoples' smiles and increasing their confidence.
Outside of the surgery, Alan enjoys sailing and spending time with his two daughters and Izzy, his Jack Russell.

Associate Dentist

Eleanor has dedicated her life to transforming smiles and improving oral health. She graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1993 and joined the Lynton House team in August 1994.
Through the years Eleanor has gained valuable experience in providing all aspects of general dentistry and treating a wide variety of patients and ages. She has enjoyed treating several generations of the same families.
Eleanor keeps her knowledge up-to-date by regularly attending postgraduate courses. She has a special interest in facial aesthetics, striving to enhance natural features, and cosmetic dentistry.
Away from work, Eleanor enjoys spending time with her family, going on outdoor adventures with her dog and lots of city breaks.
Helen Jamieson
Dental Hygienist

Helen is a dedicated and experienced Dental Hygienist with a passion for promoting oral health and providing top-quality dental care. With over 35 years’ expertise in the field, she has become known for her compassionate approach and commitment to patient education.
Helen is an indispensable member of the Lynton House team. Over the years, she has had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients, from children to seniors, and has honed her skills in performing thorough dental cleanings, identifying oral health issues and developing personalised hygiene plans.
With a deep understanding of the importance of preventive dentistry, Helen is passionate about educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices. Her gentle and encouraging approach helps patients feel comfortable during cleanings and motivates them to maintain optimal oral health at home.
Helen takes the time to listen to patients' concerns and address any anxieties they might have about dental procedures. Her ability to create a calm and friendly environment ensures that patients feel at ease during their appointments, fostering trust and long-lasting relationships.
Helen is dedicated to continuous professional development and regularly participates in workshops, seminars and training sessions. Outside the surgery, Helen enjoys swimming (indoors and outdoors) and walking, especially with her granddog Betty!
Louise McNeil

Louise is a skilled and compassionate Dental Therapist committed to improving oral health, enhancing smiles and gaining patients’ trust to overcome their dental anxieties.
Louise possesses a wide range of skills including children's extractions, restorations, providing cleanings and preventive treatments, administering local anaesthesia and educating patients about proper oral hygiene practices. Her ability to explain complex dental concepts in an accessible manner helps patients feel informed and empowered about their oral health.
Since graduating in 2021, Louise has prioritised patient comfort and satisfaction above everything else. Working alongside the supportive team at Lynton House, she always seeks to establish a trusting relationship with patients, ensuring they feel relaxed and confident during their dental appointments. Her gentle demeanor and ability to alleviate dental anxiety makes Louise highly sought after among patients of all ages.
Louise is dedicated to continuous learning and stays updated with the latest advancements in dental therapy. She attends workshops, seminars and training programs to enhance her skills and incorporate the most recent techniques and technologies into her practice.
Outside of her work, Louise enjoys going to the gym and walking. She also enjoys going out for dinner and the occasional nice holiday!
Sharon Gough RDN
Head Dental Nurse / Receptionist

Sharon, a skilled and compassionate dental nurse, has dedicated her career to providing excellent patient care and assisting dental professionals in delivering exceptional oral health services.
Sharon joined Lynton House in 1998 and completed her Dental Nursing qualifications in 2000. Throughout her career, Sharon has demonstrated a deep passion for her work and an unwavering commitment to her patients. Her warm and empathetic nature instantly puts even the most anxious patients at ease, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere in the practice. Sharon understands that dental visits can be intimidating and she strives to make each patient's experience as pleasant as possible.
In addition to her work as the practice’s Head Dental Nurse, Sharon also manages the front desk, greeting patients, answering and directing phone calls and scheduling appointments. Her friendly demeanour ensures every patient feels valued and attended to.
Sharon's greatest strength lies in her ability to work cohesively with the whole team. She values collaboration and believes that teamwork is the key to providing comprehensive and effective patient care. Her colleagues appreciate her reliability, attention to detail and her constant dedication to improving the patient experience.

Hannah McKay RDN

When not working and laughing with the Lynton House team, Hannah enjoys kayaking, camping and eating out with her family and friends. She also loves playing hockey.

Paula possesses a wide range of skills crucial to dental nursing including chairside assistance, sterilisation of instruments, patient education and maintaining a clean and organised dental environment. She's also proficient in using the latest dental technologies and software to enhance the efficiency of the practice and has a particular interest in implantology.
Paula is passionate about helping patients overcome dental anxiety, ensuring they have a positive experience at the dentist. She is particularly skilled in calming nervous patients and explaining procedures in a way that is easy to understand, fostering trust and confidence among patients.

Shona McLaughlin RDN

Shona is a dedicated dental nurse with a passion for helping patients, especially those who suffer with anxiety when visiting the dentist.
Shona joined the Lynton House team in 2019 and qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2020. Since then she has enjoyed assisting dentists in transforming smiles and restoring patients' confidence. She has a particular interest in Invisalign adult teeth straightening.
Shona loves working with the great team at Lynton House and cherishes the positive working environment. She enjoys getting to know our patients and meeting characters from all walks of life, especially the adorable babies and young children that visit the practice.
When not at work Shona regularly visits the gym, training at least four times a week. At weekends she spends most of her time socialising with her friends and family. She loves spending time with her four nephews and visiting the youngest ones in the Netherlands.
Emma Burke RDN

Erin Maconochie RDN

Erin is a highly qualified and skilled health professional who is passionate about her work. She has worked at Lynton House since 2015 and completed her Dental Nurse training in 2016. She also works as an NHS Podiatrist.
Erin is determined to help patients have a positive experience at the dentist. She is particularly skilled in calming nervous patients and explaining procedures in a way that is easy to understand.
She actively encourages a positive working environment and is always willing to lend a helping hand to ensure the success of the team overall.
In her administrative role at Lynton House, Erin is dedicated to ensuring the practice provides exceptional care whilst maintaining operational excellence.
In her free time, Erin enjoys spending time with her family, her dog and her horse, as well as sailing around the west coast of Scotland.

Lorraine is a highly organised and customer-focused professional with almost 30 years’ experience in the field of reception and administration. She plays a pivotal role in ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service at Lynton House.
Lorraine is responsible for managing the front desk, greeting visitors, answering and directing phone calls, scheduling appointments and providing accurate information to patients.
Lorraine has a natural ability to connect with people and create a positive first impression. Her friendly and professional demeanour, coupled with her problem-solving skills, contribute significantly to the overall patient satisfaction at Lynton House.
In addition to her receptionist duties, Lorraine collaborates effectively with all her colleagues. She actively contributes to fostering a positive work environment and is always willing to lend a helping hand to ensure the success of the team.
